The Program Profiles




Emerging Talent supports exciting new artists across a range of arts disciplines - giving Melbourne's stars of tomorrow a big career 'leg up' and providing them with the opportunity to take part in some of the most prestigious arts events across the world.

The program currently features a number of awards at some of Melbourne's biggest and most unique arts events and institutions:

Comedy

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of the three biggest comedy festivals in the world, and Australia's largest cultural event.

The Melbourne Airport Best Newcomer Award is presented to the best first-time performer at each Comedy Festival, and sends the winner to the prestigious Brighton Comedy Festival in the UK. Read more...
